No...Your child does not need to be potty trained. We will help work through the potty training process. We have found that the influence of their peers at school helps the potty training process. Until then, you will need to supply diapers for your child.

Do you provide Lunch?

No. Everyone brings their lunch from home. This allows us to easily accommodate any special diets and leaves you in charge of your child's daily intake. We do have refrigerators and microwaves in every room so it can be a cold or hot lunch. We supply milk to drink.

We do provide a simple mid-morning and mid-afternoon snack which usually consists of crackers, cereal or bread with fruit, juice or milk.

What kind of discipline do you use?

First we set up the environment so there are lots of materials available for individual use. We encourage taking turns, rather than force sharing. When a conflict arises, first we redirect and if there is a continued problem we use a short "Time Out" where we help the child watch successful interactions. If there are continued concerns, we talk with the parents and together make a plan of action.

What do I need to start?

After you have toured the facility and decided this is the right fit for you and your child, you will need to pay the $60 registration fee and then fill out the remainder of the registration packet. There will be several forms including Emergency Contact information, *Immunization Records and a form from your child doctor.

* If you are against immunization there are additional forms to fill out and sign.

Will you teach my child to read?

Reading is a set of skills that we begin teaching to even our youngest students. We also begin introducing math, science and social studies concepts. We gear the teaching to the age groups to be engaging, stimulating and fun.

Will my child be ready for Kindergarten

Generally children who are self-confident, expect to learn, have been exposed to the rhythm of language (singing, storytelling handling books) and can successfully seperate themselves from their parents...they will usually be ready for Kindergarten. Over the years we have received positive feedback from Kinder parents when their children have entered their first formal year of schooling.
